The Village of Hoffman Estates is accepting applications for the position of: Police Officer.  Testing is being conducted for an immediate need to fill several openings and to establish a new list for future hiring.

The application deadline is 6/6/18 at 4:00 PM.  All applications must be returned to the office of:

All individuals meeting eligibility requirements are encouraged to continue with the application process.  There is a $40.00 non-refundable application fee. Applications are NOT available at the Hoffman Estates Police Department or the Village Hall.

Registration starts at 7:00 AM.  Orientation starts at 8:00 AM.

Physical Ability and Written Examination immediately following the Orientation.

Applicants with a current P.O.W.E.R. Card (12/6/17 - 6/6/18) will take the Written Examination immediately following the Orientation.

 The Hoffman Estates Police Department is now a designated Internet Transaction Exchange location.

Our residents can safely conduct transactions at the Police Department and reduce the risk of internet scams and violent crimes related to internet transactions.  Police personnel will not get involved in transactions unless criminal activity is suspected.  In fact, the Police Department will not be involved in the transactions in any way (i.e. cash exchange or storing of items).  Pleas remember the Hoffman Estates Police Department is a gun free zone and transactions involving weapons are strictly prohibited.  Hazardous materials and large items will not be allowed inside the building.
