Wash MachineThe District is committed to encouraging efficient water use. Programs, incentives, and informational assistance are offered to customers to help you implement water conserving measures at your home or place of business. In addition, visitors to our office can tour our Waterwise and Fire-safe Demonstration Garden and obtain free educational materials to help them in their conservation efforts.

Premium High Efficiency Toilets - The largest amount of water used inside your home, approximately 30%, goes toward flushing the toilet. Premium high efficiency toilets use almost 20% less water than the WaterSense standard toilets and flush the same amount of waste just as, if not more, effectively. Enhanced rebates are offered starting at $40 per toilet. Visit for more information and to apply for the rebate incentive.

High-Efficiency Clothes Washers - High-efficiency clothes washers use 55% less water than standard clothes washers. Less water means less energy for water heating, lowering your energy bill too. Enhanced rebates are offered starting at $85 per washer. Visit for more information and to apply for the rebate incentive.

Rotating Nozzles - Rotating nozzles spray multi-trajectory, rotating streams of water onto your landscape. In comparison to conventional spray heads, rotating nozzles use 30 percent less water, water more slowly and uniformly, and can be easily adjusted for precise, custom watering. Other benefits include better wind resistance, less misting, and reduced runoff. Rebates start at $2 per nozzle, minimum quantity is 30 nozzles. Visit for more information and to apply for the rebate incentive.

Smart Irrigation Controllers - "Smart Timers" or weather-based irrigation controllers can save an average of 40 gallons per day. Unlike standard timers that turn on sprinklers at set intervals, Smart Timers use information about your plants and soil, slope, and weather conditions to give plants exactly the right amount of water all year long. Enhanced rebates start at $80/timer. Visit for more information and to apply for the rebate incentive.

Rain Barrel Rebate Program - Rain barrels are a quick way to conserve water and help reduce ocean water pollution by preventing rainwater from carrying fertilizers, pet waste, and harmful debris from your property out into the ocean. Stop by the District to purchase a 50-gallon rain barrel for $20 (no limit on quantity purchased) or visit to apply for the southern California regional rain barrel rebate incentive.

Spray-to-drip Irrigation Program - The Spray-to-Drip Program offers you the opportunity to convert areas irrigated by spray heads to drip irrigation. Rather than spraying wide areas, drip systems utilize point emitters to deliver water to specific locations at or near plant root zones. Each drip kit covers approximately 250-450 square feet. Eligible residents can receive up to $175 per drip kit. Each home is eligible for up to 3 kits. Visit for more information and to apply for the rebate incentive.

Landscape Transformation Program - The Landscape Transformation Program offers an enhanced rebate starting at $1 per square foot for qualifying transformation projects. Please visit for program eligibility guidelines, terms & conditions, and to submit a new application.
